I can't believe the total disregard for avian life when it comes to gardeners. They don't recognize a bird's nest, and even attempt to lessen their impact on them. Who teaches these gardeners these crude tactics, and don't they feel bad doing it?
There was a sparrow's nest in the hedge this morning, and as I type this, the noise from the electric trimmer, and blower are making me angry. I won't know if the nest still has babies in it, until they are all done. Hopefully the nest is deep enough inside the hedge. :(
I had asked the landlord to wait until the babies had gone, and he looked me straight in the eye and said "no."
So sad, and hard to believe that waiting a few weeks for the hatchlings to get up and out was unreasonable. So goes the way of the world.
